BAYTOWN, TEX. – Ten churches from across the capital cities came together for this year’s Capital Cities Youth Federation (CCYF), held March 20-21, 2026, at the Baytown United Seventh-day Adventist Church. The theme for the weekend, “Go Run and Tell That,” focused on witnessing and evangelism.
The weekend began Friday night with a powerful play entitled Jesus on Trial, presented by the youth of Baytown United. Their performance captivated the audience, sharing a moving message about Jesus’ love and our responsibility to tell others. During intermission, young people from across the federation delivered three inspiring sermonettes.
Sabbath School opened with a panel discussion featuring youth from our capital cities churches, centered on spiritual introspection and growing deeper roots in Christ. The divine worship experience was vibrant and uplifting–from the Pathfinder processional and praise team to the puppet ministry and the CCYF Mass Choir.
Guest speaker Robert Norwood, senior pastor of the Ephesus Seventh-day Adventist Church, delivered a powerful message titled, “Tattletales Matter”. Drawing from the story of the Samaritan woman, he encouraged us to boldly share the goodness of God. It was truly a worship experience you didn’t want to miss.
The afternoon continued with a delicious potluck provided by the Baytown United hospitality team. After lunch, the Pathfinders led a parade through the streets of Baytown to the town square. Special thanks to the Baytown Police Department and Baytown Parks and Recreation for helping make this possible.
The Sabbath closed with songs and prayer, followed by an evening of volleyball and basketball tournaments at a local gym. We are grateful to all the parents and leaders across our federation churches for their continued support in nurturing the spiritual growth of our youth.
