Women’s Ministries leaders from across the Southwest Region Conference gathered at World Harvest Outreach Church in Houston, Texas, for a powerful Sabbath-only leadership training centered on the 2026 theme, Rooted in Grace. Designed to equip and spiritually renew those serving in local churches, the gathering created space for reflection, learning, and encouragement as leaders prepare for the year ahead.
The day opened with meaningful worship, prayer, and moments of quiet reflection, setting a tone that emphasized spiritual depth over performance. Participants were reminded that sustainable leadership does not grow from pressure, but from grace—flowing out of healing, wholeness, and an abiding relationship with Christ.
Dynamic and practical sessions addressed the realities of ministry leadership. Linda Dianne Crimes-Penick presented Leading with Grace in Difficult Church Relationships and Leading Without Losing Yourself, offering guidance on maintaining healthy boundaries while serving with compassion. Dr. Nicolle Brise challenged attendees through her presentations, Building a Legacy That Spans Generations and Service Is a Calling, Not an Option, urging leaders to embrace service as a sacred response to God’s call. Myon Morgan’s session, Shape Your Environment, Elevate Your Story, inspired leaders to intentionally cultivate environments where authenticity and growth can flourish.
Special music from the Metro Community African Church and the Women’s Ministries theme song, “I’m Moving Forward,” provided uplifting moments of worship. A reflective “Grace in Action” exercise invited leaders to identify personal obstacles and commit to intentional next steps. Each participant received a small plant—a symbolic reminder that true growth begins beneath the surface and requires patience and care.
The training also introduced key 2026 initiatives, including She Let Go, God’s Daughters, enditnow®, Day of Service, cancer awareness efforts, Graceful Gatherings, Camp Meeting, and the Union Women’s Ministries Retreat.
Leaders departed strengthened and inspired—rooted in grace, grounded in faith, and ready to serve with renewed purpose.
